I like summer, but just not really really hot and humid. (since I was born during the summer anyways)....I am not a fan of fall, I find it very depressing---always have. And growing up in the midwest spring was the week between 1 foot of snow and 90 degree heat, eg didnt see it much.
Though I do need the change of seasons....after living if florida where its just about always summer....it just left a bad taste in my mouth and a desire to see snow.
anyways.....got sub sandwiches for dinner so I did not have to cook (YEAH!!!!) but I am back on dinner duty tomorrow (booooo).

Cooking, when you live alone, not much happens in the kitchen really, if i was too cook for a woman/friends, then it'll be very different

I lived alone in japan for 2 years... I LOVE cooking so I did so for just myself....I did eat out on occasion, but I was trying to save up some cash (paying off some loans back here) so I was very frugal and the produce in japan was soo fresh it was hard not to want to cook with it (fresh fish--no smell at all, veggies that are individually wrapped and sold only when they have fully ripened on the plant--not on the way to the store) they only sold what was in season and canned or jars of veggies/fruits were tiny and very very expensive! (thus forcing you to buy the fresh stuff).
I loved the food, its one of the biggest things I miss from japan (though if I had stayed anylonger I would probably have needed another seat on the airplane!).
great now I am hungry

no ima lady and didnt venture into the bad parts of osaka or tokyo and have no tatoos...so nope--- for the most part the country was pretty safe and lots of people dont lock their doors etc. I traveled to every province while I was there and never had any problems (other than my being a female traveling alone ). It was quite pleasant.

I was born in spring or winter... I never remember when it changes exactly to spring... Oh well. I like my seasons and I can relate to the snow one week, 90 degrees the next...
I don't like cooking for myself but that is probably because I'm terrible at it. I usually end up making a frozen pizza or sandwiches...
I don't have much of a desire to visit Japan for some reason. I just don't.

some people like to travel while others dont....no biggie....I have been to Europe, Scandinavia, Japan and some other spots in the asian area. I have done enough for me....though my mom wants me to get on a boat with her next spring....not looking forward to that
pwnd...you live in the midwest, spring is only a week....so if it was nice and mid temps the week your were born then you got spring, if not it was probably winter.....
need a bunch of naps now. and yes no ideas for dinner either---wtb idea for dinner tonite!

Cosy, scandinavia is in europe.. so you could've said Europe only!.
Sorry, but it's my country(s) you talk about hehe.
And if you've been to Scandinavis, you've been to Sweden, Denmark and Norway. That's cool.
I like to travel, but sadly the money just don't always cut it.

I have never really traveled much. Furthest I have gone is to Hawaii but usually we just stuck to the midwest. Nothing horribly exciting because we never had the time or the money to do so.

yes azzer I do realize that Scandinavia is part of Europe, however, it does have its own significance as well (and yes I have been to Denmark, Norway as well as Sweden--where my moms family came from, I'm 2nd generation). If you say I have been to Europe, sometimes people only think of countries like germany, france, italy and not places like Finland or say poland or slovakia (which are considered EASTERN europe) so I was just being more precise in my list.
I have not been to finland but do have a friend who lives outside Helsinki and she keeps asking me to come and visit.....though I am not really excited about long plane rides anylonger so I probably wont take her up on her offer anytime soon.
In the USA I have been to just about every state, though have missed a few like n/s dakota and a few down south like mississippi and alabama. My first plane ride was to Hawaii---9 hours on a plane and we started with a 4 hour rain delay---my parents werent too happy about it since I was 5 and my 2 sisters were also with us .....so 3 young kids running around the airport like banshees!! (needlestosay my dad took the airlines up on the 'free alcohol' on the way over).
Been to Alaska too...its nice up there in the summer and the veggies they grow are HUGE!
Yes my mom loves to travel and as soon as I was of an age to listen we were off and she STILL likes to 40 years later (at age 83)

"norden" includes Denmark, Finland, Sweden, norway, Faroe Island, Iceland.

Azzer is getting all geographical now.
I have only been to a few states, if you don't count flying over. I've been to Wisconsin, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Missouri, Mississippi, Hawaii, and of course Illinois. So I only have 42 states left to visit.

ah heck azzer it was all part of sweden at one time and they do still learn swedish in finland as well.

Maybe so, but half of rome was once danish too, and in my optic, Italy is not Scandinavia .
And yes, it annoys me when people get it wrong on Geographics about my countrys haha.
i've been to Spain, Greece, Italy, Bulgaria, Sweden, Norway, Germany, Ghana. That's it.
